The South Central Enterprise Region Inc.
The Province of Saskatchewan introduced regional Enterprise
Regions, or ERs, for communities
interested in facilitating regional economic development.
The South Central Enterprise Region is a non-profit organization
committed to business attraction and retention in the Moose
Jaw area. SCER is part of a greater network of federal,
provincial and municipal organizations that are committed to
the economic betterment of their respective region in
Saskatchewan.
The South Central Enterprise REgion was incorporated on January 21st, 2009 and consists of 29 rural municipalities, 10 towns,
15 villages and the City of Moose Jaw serving a population of 51,830 and covering 26,500 square kilometers.
The South Central Enterprise Region receives funding from the Province of
Saskatchewan and its members, including the City of Moose
Jaw. The SCER,
in partnership with the City of Moose Jaw, provides resources to pursue the cities
development objectives. The South Central Enterprise Region is available to
work with
existing
and potential businesses considering ventures in the SCER Region.
The South Central Enterprise Region maintains detailed information on the
south central Saskatchewan region and works with the regions business
community
to:
- Retain and expand business in the area;
- Attract new business to the communities in the
area;
- Create an environment conducive for
business operations;
- Form partnerships with key community organizations
to promote and develop the region.

Moose Jaw Region
The Moose Jaw Region is a leader in agriculture and agri-food
processing, tourism, transportation, and manufacturing
in the Province of Saskatchewan. The City of Moose Jaw is the
fourth largest urban centre in Saskatchewan. The Moose Jaw
region is experiencing steady economic growth that is rarely
experienced by comparable communities in the Prairie Provinces
Moose Jaw. . .
