On
June 5, 2002, a large community meeting was held to discuss
the pillars for Moose Jaw growth and agree upon future direction
for Moose Jaw.
One clear goal emerged as a unifying catalyst to unite all
of the organizations represented in the room:
“To increase
the population of Moose Jaw by 10,000 residents over the
next ten years.”
It was suggested that "we have waited too long for someone
from the outside to come and save us" and it was time
for the community to set a positive direction for the future.
